Selected Ezzy’s instructors regularly travel to Bangladesh to help children in water-rich areas learn to swim. In a country shaped by rivers, ponds and monsoon flooding, swimming is more than a sport.
For children growing up just steps away from open water, basic swimming skills can be life-changing. By building confidence and safety in the water, Ezzy’s helps reduce drowning risks and gives children skills that can stay with them for life.
Where water is part of daily life, learning to swim is more than a skill. It is safety, freedom and a future.
In partnership with Swimmin' Foundation, the work in Bangladesh combines lessons, training, education and infrastructure, so impact lasts long after our instructors travel home.
Structured lessons for children from 5 years old, in rivers and safe pools.
Young adults learn rescue techniques to help children under 5 in emergencies.
Local instructors are trained so the programme can keep running year-round.
Swim teaching is integrated into school education programmes.
Working with families and communities on the dangers of water.
Building safe pools on land and developing a swim boat to reach remote areas.
